As far as what type of culture the Zonai had, it seems that they valued power and enjoyed war. The item description of the Barbarian Helm mentions ” an ancient warlike tribe from the Faron Region ,” and this can be assumed to refer to the Zonai as the majority of their ruins are found in Faron. It’s possible that their warlike nature led to the Zonai becoming a lost tribe in Breath of the Wild , but since none of the tribe remain, players have to look at the ruins to find clues about why this tribe vanis
The quests are the primary objectives in BOTW , and it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to complete all of them. Half of the challenge is simply finding them all, since there’s very little indication of who has a quest to give and who doesn’t, and quest givers can be found in the most random and unexpected of places. Even after players manage to find all the quests, they still will need to put in quite a bit of legwork in order to complete them. Some particularly difficult quests involve gathering extremely rare ingredients, or facing off against enemies that can easily vanquish them if they’re unprepared, or fulfilling incredibly specific or rare conditions. Whatever the reason, players can easily leave a few quests behind in even their most thorough of playthroughs, so it’s worth doing a few sweeps of Hyrule before TOTK comes
Despite the minimal information given in the trailer for Tears of the Kingdom from the September 2022 Nintendo Direct, the imagery from the hieroglyphs suggests that the Zonai will play an important role. It also seems that Hyrule’s history will be further explored, particularly the darker portions and possibly their role in the Great Calamities. This isn’t the first time that Hyrule’s history has been referenced as being dark, but the events of that history are not always expanded upon in-g
The depictions of animals in the Zonai ruins show that three creatures had more importance to them than others. These creatures would be pigs, birds, and, most prominently, dragons. It’s possible that the Zonai worshiped the lightning dragon Farosh, who appears around the ruins in Faron. Alternatively, these animals are linked to the three pieces of the Triforce. Pigs are associated with Ganon, who holds the Triforce of Power. Owls are birds associated with wisdom. The Spring of Courage is found inside dragon ruins, which links the dragon to courage. Therefore, the Zonai seem to have a connection to the Triforce or a reverence for
In Twilight Princess , Link must work with Midna in order to save both of their realms from Zant as his invasion of Hyrule threatens to resurrect Ganondorf. It’s said that the Twilight Realm, the home of the Twili, served as a prison for an ancient tribe who attempted to use magic to gain control of the Sacred Realm. The connections between BOTW , TOTK , and Twilight Princess thus far seem to suggest that the Twili may be connected to the ancient Zonai tribe that mysteriously vanished from Hyrule long before the events of BOTW , though this is only a theory based on the trailers released for TOTK thus
If Midna were to appear in BOTW 2 , she may not reprise her role as Link’s companion. Breath of the Wild and Twilight Princess are vastly different games, and it seems odd for her to accompany Link as she once did since he has no sidekick in the first BOTW and there’s no evidence that he will have one in the second. In addition, light is harmful to Midna, since she’s a member of the Twili race. She needs to stay in Link’s shadow whenever she’s in the world of light in Twilight Princess , so it doesn’t seem like she would follow him in a Hyrule not taken over by the Twilight. It’s more likely she would be a minor character if she returns in BOTW 2 , and be involved with a side quest or a minor questline instead of being a main character again. Alternatively, she could also appear in DLC just like her helmet did in the first BO
While Tears of the Kingdom promises to open up Breath of the Wild ’s world once again, many locations have already served their purpose. The locations discussed here expose new angles through which to explore Hyrule’s terrible past in Tears of the Kingdom . Naturally, it’s also exciting to see what new locations are added to the game: Eiji Aonuma and nintendo Console Graphics (via YouTube) promises Tears of the Kingdom ‘s ” expanded world goes beyond ” the already shown sky. This rather cryptic message suggests players may go beyond Hyrule’s borders or possibly into other realms, like the Triforce’s Sacred Realm. **Tears of the Kingdom ** promises to not only revisit but expand Breath of the Wild ’s extensive
The Sheikah race has expanded into being a more interesting race throughout the years with Breath of the Wild fleshing the race out the most and making them a highly intellectual group of people that have created a plethora of advanced technol
The final towns that Tears of the Kingdom should revisit are Hateno Village and Tarrey Town. Both of these locations were developed by Link in Breath of the Wild . In Hateno Village, Link purchases his own house and can decorate it. It will be interesting to see if he’s since sold this house or if, possibly, he now lives there with Zelda. Tarrey Town went one step further: Link entirely created Tarrey Town by assisting Bolson with his construction efforts. With so many residents moving in, the town may have outgrown the small spit of land upon which it was built to become a major c
