King Bulblin is a character that Zelda BOTW 2 doesn’t need , but could still utilize well. It may be best if he or generic copies of him act as a strong but common enemy without bearing on the story, like a Lynel or Hinox. He could become a boss like he was in Twilight Princess , but should only have one fight if so and not face against Link multiple times. There’s also potential for BOTW 2 to expand his character, as his last appearance in Twilight Princess showed that he was more than a simple minion. If Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 _ decides to use some _Twilight Princess characters, King Bulblin may seem like an odd choice, but he could also make for a great questline that explores his backgro
If time travel is present in Tears of the Kingdom in some form, it carries a few implications. The first is that its version of Hyrule would be very different from BOTW . That much was already known, but if Link is getting sent back to the past, and especially if it’s as far back as the first rise of Calamity Ganon, then it could be practically unrecognizable, and have an all-new cast of characters either unrelated to those in BOTW or with only distant relations. It could also mean that players will see Ganon’s intitial rise first-hand, in addition to other events such as the construction of the Guardians and Divine Beasts, which BOTW ‘s sequel could use in unexpected ways if
Breath of the Wild 2 has seemingly had ample development time. The first teaser trailer was released in 2019, and the game’s 2022 release date remains unknown, indicating it might not release until the second half of the year. The development team likely also had reusable assets from Breath of the Wild that could be used in this sequel since it’s not only set in the same Legend of Zelda timeline but also seemingly not long after its predecessor – and because it’s on the same console, the Switch. What this could mean is that the development team has had time to add a lot of new features, some of which could have been scrapped from prior games. The leading speculation here might show that BOTW 2 is leaning even further into the mystical side of the Zelda universe than its predeces
In Zelda: Twilight Princess , Link is a simple villager who goes to rescue the children of his village. He soon encounters the Twilight, a power that strips away the light from Hyrule, and is transformed into a wolf. Link then sets off on a journey across a Hyrule swallowed up by Twilight to rescue the Light Spirits and gather the Fused Shadows with the help of Twilight Princess ‘ fan-favorite sidekick Midna . Along the way, the two rescue the lost children and aid the various races of Hyrule. Eventually, they confront Zant, one of the main antagonists, as well as his evil patron, Ganondorf. Once they’re both defeated, Midna goes home to the Twilight Realm before destroying the gateway between it and Hyrule, the Mirror of Twili
If Midna were to appear in BOTW 2 , she may not reprise her role as Link’s companion. Breath of the Wild and Twilight Princess are vastly different games, and it seems odd for her to accompany Link as she once did since he has no sidekick in the first BOTW and there’s no evidence that he will have one in the second. In addition, light is harmful to Midna, since she’s a member of the Twili race. She needs to stay in Link’s shadow whenever she’s in the world of light in Twilight Princess , so it doesn’t seem like she would follow him in a Hyrule not taken over by the Twilight. It’s more likely she would be a minor character if she returns in BOTW 2 , and be involved with a side quest or a minor questline instead of being a main character again. Alternatively, she could also appear in DLC just like her helmet did in the first BO
In Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild , Link awakens from a 100-year slumber to find that Hyrule is in danger from Calamity Ganon. He sets out upon a quest to free the four Divine Beasts and rescue Princess Zelda, who has been keeping Ganon sealed for the last century. In the sequel, Tears of the Kingdom , he will go on a new adventure, and while most of it is still unknown, various trailers have revealed that it involves a withered mummy kept sealed deep underground, which is freed after Link and Zelda stumble upon it. Afterwards, pieces of Hyrule rise up into the air, including Hyrule Castle itself, and Link legacy is apparently left with the same arm that kept the mummy sealed, either replacing or covering his own. There are many weird theories about Link’s new arm in Zelda : Tears of the Kingdom , and it’s been stealthily shown to have mysterious powers similar to the Sheikah Slate from BO
Zant is the primary antagonist for most of Twilight Princess . He makes a deal with Ganondorf in exchange for his power, and transforms the Twili people into Shadow Beasts in order to conquer Hyrule. Zant, unlike most Twili, resents that he could not leave the Twilight Realm, and he also holds a deep hatred for Midna since she was chosen as its leader above him by its royal family. He presents himself as composed and calculating for most of the game, but during his last meeting with Link and Midna, he reveals himself to be completely unstable, and acts extremely erratically during his final boss fight. It’s possible that Zant’s pact with Zelda ‘s iconic antagonist Ganondorf caused him to behave differently in Twilight Princess , but he attributes this to being the only Twili to have emotions, which were suppressed by the Twilight Realm royal family, inst
