Starting on Io, speak to Asher Mir again. He will need some tasks completed before he’s willing to leave the planet. The player will need to complete his four quests: Observer Effect, Into the Pyramidion, Double Blind, and Fleischman-Aschheim Axiom. They can speak with him to turn in the quests when they’re done. Players will receive the Silicon Neuroma Sniper Rifle.
TSilver is Destiny 2’s premium currency that can only be purchased with real-world money. Meanwhile, Bright Dust was introduced as an in-game currency that would allow players to earn Eververse items without Silver. With Shadowkeep, however, Bungie has significantly neutered what players can buy all while increasing the amount of Bright Dust players can earn. Items purchasable with Bright Dust are hidden away in a less-than-stellar menu. Only a few items are available at a time with new ones rotating in every few hours.
Speak to Deputy Commander Sloane on Titan. Players will have to complete a weekly bounty for her, mastering Husks and Subjugators earn an Exodus-Focused Umbral Engram . Talk with her again and then head to Io to speak with Asher Mir.

Outside of the new story, locations, enemies and Gambit, most of Forsaken’s changes lie in its quality-of-life improvements. From the addition of in-game lore to random rolls for weapons and gear to an in-game accomplishment tracker, Bungie has done an excellent job bringing back popular features they nixed when jumping from Destiny to Destiny 2. The good news is that all players can enjoy these improvements whether or not they own Forsaken.
For a free experience, Destiny 2: New Light does provide a lot to do. In many ways, you can experience a lot of the best parts of Destiny 2 without paying for anything. If you haven’t given Destiny 2 a shot yet, New Light is worth downloading.
Go to Titan to speak with Commander Sloane. Sloane has some tasks that will need completed before leaving as well. Complete her quests: Clearing the Decks, Asset Interception, Be the Wall, and The Will of a Titan. Players can speak with Commander Sloane again to turn in the quests. She will reward the player with the Duty Bound Auto Rifle. Players will need to speak Zavala again to continue the quest. He will give the player the Masterworked Mindbender’s Ambition Shotgun.
MerWhat shines are the two new locations players visit throughout the journey. The Tangled Shore presents as a lawless chunk of rocks held together by anchors. The area presents plenty of variety with Skorn, Fallen and Cabal vying for dominance. As a playground to wander about and complete bounties, the Tangled Shore provides more exciting encounters than the majority of Destiny 2’s worlds. More impressive is the Dreaming City, the ultimate end-game location built for Guardians looking for a real challenge. Filled with powerful enemies, bounties and activities, the Dreaming City aims to prepare players for the upcoming raid, The Last Wish.
Hobgoblins are among the scariest Vex monsters featured in the game. The cybernetic machines come equipped with hidden sniper units that can quickly dispatch sloppy gamers. Next, Warmind released to a subdued reception. It was more content-rich than Curse of Osiris thanks to an interesting player-triggered public event and actually decent guns to grind for, but it wasn’t the saving throw both fans and developer were hoping for. Adding to the problem was the eventual shelving of the Trials of the Nine PvP mode, leaving Crucible enthusiasts with no end-game content to chew on. Since launch, Destiny 2 had been on a nonstop downward trend, and it looked like the game was doomed to die a quiet death as players left for newer multiplayer games. Thankfully, that’s not what happened.
