In Rockstar’s effort to create a realistic game, like horses that have packages that shrink in cold weather, they certainly didn’t go all the way in some regards. For example, you can somehow store a near infinite amount of random items in your beginning pouch, but heaven forbid you to put more than one animal carcass on your horse. Also, somehow, you can store an army of guns on your sidesaddle, but not on Arthur’s person. There are a lot of inconsistencies, but hey, that’s video ga
Whistling for your horse carries a litany of problems. For example, the distance it can hear it in isn’t that great. Even when you do whistle, within distance, it takes forever for your steed to trot to you even when you have a good relationship. It’s weird in games where you turn around and your horse is there like in The Witcher 3 , but as ridiculous as that is I would much prefer that silliness to this. Thankfully there are cheat
The delay of Red Dead Redemption did not come with new details on the game. Several new screenshots accompanied the news, but these do not make us less worried. All screenshots do is prove that the game still looks great. We don’t know how the game looks in action, though, which can be a worry. The delay may only be a few months, but news of a delay is rarely good news, as it means that the game in question is in a rough state. Showing cold, hard gameplay would appease the public’s fears of quality and get fans even more excited for the game when it finally released in 2018. Until then, all we can do is speculate about how Rockstar may have evolved the ser
There is an argument to be had about games and DLCs. While some people love DLC content, others are frustrated when they buy game’s at full price, receive half a game and the rest is fed to them in pricey DLC content released at later dates. This is certainly not the case for GTA V which gave us a vast, in-depth story, following three main characters around Los Santos as their lives intertwined in the weirdest, yet most perfect way. However, after the story was done, we were left wanting more in the ways of single player action. In the last instalment, we were granted two DLC stories like The Ballad Of Gay Tony and The Lost And Damned . Yet here we are, waiting for more from GTA V only to be given nothing. Surely a story expansion would send fans running back to single player for more of the unforgettable single player experience only Rockstar can provide. This feels like a huge missed opportun
That’s how the law works, right? You just pay some money for it to go away? Well, that’s how it works in regards to bounties in Red Dead Redemption II . All except for story bounties like Blackwater. It’s a little more than ridicul
Just across the river north of Annesburg lies an old ruin. It appears to be an old Viking tomb, and it’s not entirely empty. Lying inside just waiting for someone with sticky fingers are three different it
During certain missions, you are prompted to cover your face with a bandana, which is typical of Westerns. It looks cool. This is to keep your identity hidden, right? Well despite this, somehow you always get fined with a bounty. It doesn’t make any sense. I tried wearing masks too and that doesn’t do anything either. It feels like Rockstar put them in as an obligation to the genre. They didn’t want to implement it as a real disguise. It might have broken the game otherwise, or someth
What Rockstar has built with Red Dead Redemption 2 isn’t just a vast world of splendor and beauty within which they have place random mission markers and enemy bases to go clear. Instead, this is a place that they’re legitimately wanting you to live in. Can it be tedious at times? Sure. But more often than not, I think it gives me a stronger sense of intimacy with both Arthur and this setting of the Wild West, and that’s something I haven’t felt in an open-world title in quite awhile.
While the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions of GTA V prepped Rockstar for working on new hardware, they still weren’t creating an entirely new game. Even the first-person mode was just a new perspective. The game itself didn’t change drastically when it jumped consoles. With Red Dead 2 , the development team over at Rockstar is making their very first next generation game from the ground up. While the new hardware has been praised by developers, Rockstar is known for pushing hardware to its limits, and creating graphically stunning games, this new challenge could be proving more difficult than they anticipated, drastically hampering the game’s developm
The newest trailer for _ Red Dead Redemption 2 _ was released yesterday by Rockstar Games. You can bet that excitement is only continuing to grow as the long-awaited sequel races to its release date of October 26th for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox
GameStop stated that the game’s delay would not affect the overall sale of video games in the fall. This could be because the Genshin Impact 5.8 of the game has already lessened, meaning that it wouldn’t have been the end-all game many are hyping it up to be. Instead, moving it to the beginning of the year simply moves it out of the way of potentially bigger titles that could steal its sales. The holiday season is incredibly important in the games industry because everyone wants the best new game as a gift. Rockstar could have realized that even that time of year wouldn’t have helped Red Dead in any real way, so moving the game’s release date at least moved it out of the way of other big play
