Team Fortress 2: It’s not quite surprising to find out that Team Fortress 2 , another Valve game, would have its fair share of Surf Mods. Being a 2007 game, Surf Maps in TF2 are arguably smoother and more organized. Compared to the more carefree 1.6 Surf Maps, TF2 ’s had a variety of extra sub-types, such as Death-Match Surfs, pure Skill Surfs, and obstacle-enhanced Trick Su
I’ll definitely be playing Minecraft now that it has officially released, Rob and I will probably do a few more recording sessions with the game. I’ll also be attempting to play through Gears of War 3 on ‘Insane’ difficulty in order to get those exclusive ‘Impossible Mission’ sk
When you know that your opponents are not going to buy anything or you’re playing on a close-range map , the MP9 is the gun to choose. It is affordable, allows for high mobility, and shreds players foolish enough to engage in close-quarters combat with it. The best gun for making money after winning the pistol round, the MP9 (or Mac-10 if you’re on the Ts) has secured many players an ace and a wad of cash to spend for their t
The Ursus blade is an interesting survival knife that can look great depending on which finish it uses. Ursus knives also have a chance of playing an animation in which the player throws the weapon up into the air before catching it, which is a nice touch. Fans of this ever-popular title go wild for this
Players who’ve spent enough time in Counter-Strike Source and CS:GO have probably heard of the term bunnyhopping. Essentially, bunnyhopping involves jumping while strafing to get a slight speed boost that can give a considerable edge in close combat encount
The Counter-Terrorist answer to the SG 553, the AUG was also nerfed. It is no longer the best weapon available to the Counter-Terrorists, but it is still exceptional within its niche. The CTs objective is to hold and defend bomb sites, and few weapons are equipped to hold an angle as well as the AUG is. While the AUG may lack the one-shot kill potential of its Terrorist counterpart, the recoil pattern is significantly easier to learn and intuit
With Black Friday over, I can now say that I’m looking forward to stabbing into Assassin’s Creed: Revelations and Rayman: Origins which I picked up during the holiday hustle. I’m also almost finished with my second play through of Deus Ex: Human Revolution which is showing me just how many different ways there are to go through that game. I’m also going to grind out some more trophies for Uncharted 3 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Reco
This one is for those that don’t want anything too flashy or distracting, as it’s an extremely stylish black bayonet with no intricate designs or patterns. In Field-Tested, the knife displays a few scratches, which give the weapon a more realistic l
This month I’m looking forward to Mario Kart 7 . It’s just one of those games that you can pickup and play whenever you want, and I plan on playing it throughout December and well into the new year. Since some folks are talking about what they’re excited for next year, I’d have to say Halo 4 and Bioshock: Infinite are on the top of my l
The Desert Eagle, or Deagle as it is more commonly known as is the great equalizer. As a pistol, it is incredibly cheap. As a weapon, it is incredibly powerful. Very few weapons in Counter-Strike __ are capable of a one-shot kill. The Deagle is one of them. It is a workhorse if used well, capable of winning rounds by itself. However, miss your shot and you have no way to defend yourself. The Deagle rewards skilled players by allowing them the opportunity to win rounds they have no right winn
No gun can shut down entire sections of a map or take over a game quite like the AWP can. The only gun that is able to one shot to the body, the AWP is expensive, but it is worth every dollar spent. Every team will have an AWPer whenever possible on both sides. The amount of map control the AWP provides is uncontestable. Enemy players need to know where the opposing AWPer is at all times and strategies need to be made to combat them. Peeking into an AWP without help is a near-death sente
December is relax time for me. It’s the first month in a while where I play games for fun instead of for review purposes. I plan to journey on in my restart of Skyrim on PC and make time to catch up on a large pile of games, including Saints Row: The Third, Battlefield 3 (PC) and Forza Motorsport 4 while making sure I begin Arkham City, Assassin’s Creed Revelations and Uncharte
While CS:GO is the modern iteration of the Surfing concept, it takes a lot of the basic concepts from its previous iterations. These include much of the controls and the core mechanics. Here’s a quick run-through as to how to navigate Surf Maps in CS:
This December my gaming focus is squarely centered on the PS3 versions Skyrim and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations . I still have yet to give Arkham City a whirl, but it is on my short list to play. On the PC front I’m still playing Deux Ex: Human Revolution . What can I say? I’m a perfectionist, and Half-Life universe Connections it’s a great game. Racing games have never been my forte but Forza Motorsport 4 will be the next game I purchase as I try to broaden my horizons a bit. However, I’m still itching with anticipation for Mass Effect 3 , and wonder how many play-throughs of ME2 I can manage before I get my conditions “just right.” Stay safe during the holidays Rant
