The massive and unique free-to-play game PlanetSide 2 first launched in 2012, but since then it has been updated with more gameplay features and constantly expanding lore. Players in this first-person shooter engage in fast-paced, large-scale tactical battles to control territory for their fact
Bungie’s argument for not creating a Destiny 3 hinges on the idea that they don’t want you or them to start over. It would be a strong argument if not for the fact that Destiny 2: Beyond Light feels like a reset. In the blink of an eye, Bungie has removed four worlds, countless strikes, numerous pieces of loot, Raids and entire questlines from the game. Europa is new, the Cosmodrome from Destiny is back, there’s one new Strike, a new Raid and a few new enemy types, but that’s not enough to cover what was lost, especially since that was all paid content.
What has fallen apart is Crucible, Destiny 2’s PvP mode. Destiny 2: Beyond Light adds no new maps or game modes. It’s disappointing, but that’s nothing compared to awful balancing. Bungie has always had problems balancing Crucible, but the addition of Stasis has resulted in a nightmare scenario that throws balance out the window. There’s so much Stasis can do to you and precious few ways to fight back. At this time, using any other abilities puts players at a serve disadvantage. It’s unfortunate to see Crucible receive so little attention in Beyond Light.
Fight through the waves of enemies in these two rooms, the latter of which is a hangar area. Once all Graviton Spike upgrades enemies are defeated, leave the hangar by heading left from the room’s entrance, leaving outside through the large bay doors and platforming around the ship’s exterior again. Platforming will lead players to another hangar bay, where they will need to jump upward to find another pathway. Continue forward, completing more puzzles utilizing levers, spores, and energy cores while fighting off Scorn enemies. Eventually, gamers will come to a boss room. The boss is not too difficult but does require some agility to avoid his devastating melee attacks or fire streaks. During the fight, the boss will jump down onto another floor below where the fight begins. This second area causes burn damage. So, players will need to activate three levers on the top floor, one of which is in a room that also causes burn damage. For solo players, save this switch for l
Glacioclasm is only available as a loot drop during The Dawning seasonal event in Destiny 2. Players will have to bake some tasty treats to deliver to the game’s various allies and vendors. Doing so will prompt these non-player characters (NPCs) to give Guardians a gift of their own: a Legendary Dawning package (known in-game as A Gift in Return), which can be found in players’ Inventory
The Dawning in upon Guardians in **Destiny 2 ** , forcing holiday cheer as viciously as the new Stasis subclass has dominated the Crucible with the Beyond Light expansion. The Tower has been lavished with festive holiday decorations, and Guardians have been tasked with a mission so grand the Traveler balks at its impossibility: to bake snacks for allies and vendors. Doing so often results in players being rewarded with a legendary package specific to The Dawning seasonal ev
Of all the PS4 and Xbox One AAA titles, perhaps none is more infamous for its load times than Destiny 2 . Booting up the game is a chose on current-gen machines, and then comes loading into the planets and Tower. Considering you have to go to the Tower to collect bounties, missions and decrypt engrams, getting around Destiny 2 is a chore. While we await the proper PS5 version coming December 8, playing the game on PS5 via backwards compatibility actually isn’t so bad. Load times are dramatically lower than on PS4, making getting around less of a chore. It excites us to imagine what next-gen load times look like.
Week Two of **Destiny 2 ** ’s Season of the Chosen kicked off on February 16, 2021, introducing the new exotic quest for the Dead Man’s Tale scout rifle and another week of seasonal challenges. An homage to leverage-action Winchesters made famous in Western films, Dead Man’s Tale sports low recoil and a perk that increases damage with each precision hit. The scout rifle is great for annihilating minor and major combatants and can even be a contender for boss damage if Guardians find themselves out of special and heavy a
Once the boss is defeated, an indicator will appear on the map players should follow. It will lead them down another narrow path and open into an area where the Guardian who put out the distress signal is located. He is super dead, but this is where gamers get their prize: The Dead Man’s Tale exotic scout rifle. However, fans should not freak out if the weapon does not appear in their inventory right away, as they will have to revisit Zavala to officially unlock it and have it in their possession. From there, players can repeat the Presage mission to get the random rolls for The Dead Man’s T
